Long ago, a sunflower admired the glory of the sun, so it rotated its face in the hope of catching a little of its heat.

But.. the sun didn't wait for it, and the dying warmth of dusk was all it left. 

When the sunflower cried, an angel came to it and said, "How warm, how graceful! You must be the best sunflower in the world!"

In the following days, it experienced the cold of night and the growing warmth of dawn, but it always remembered what the angel said.

So the sunflower never caught up to the sun, but its efforts have made it a better version of itself.

The ordinary sunflower might never shine as brightly as the sun, but it can shine an irreplaceable light of its own.
